PAST WORKSHOPS

The STEMSuccess4Girls Algebra 2 summer workshop series was attended by students from 9 different schools in Tracy, Mountain House, Pleasanton and Fremont in California.

I covered the following topics – a review of variables and exponents, graphs and slopes of linear equations, solving simple one step and multi-step equations, solving systems of equations using graphs, substitution, and elimination, quadratic functions - graphs, factoring, quadratic formula, discriminants, polynomial long division and synthetic division, remainder and factor theorems, exponential and logarithmic functions. The students enjoyed this workshop. They solved several problems together and collaborated to get a better understanding of these topics. I am glad to see several students benefiting from these workshops.
